The company has also hired services of leading European designers who constantly develop new designs for specific geographical areas.

A top French designer works full time for Gul Ahmed and spends 2 months in Pakistan and 2 months in Paris on a rotational basis throughout the year. The designing team visits major exhibitions to set their eyes on current market trend. The first installation of laser engraver, film plotter, colour scanner and cad cam system in Pakistan has been made at Gul Ahmed indicating dedication to computerization in all aspects of design reproduction. Further investment is planned in CMS and CPS which would be connected with IPS in the automated colour kitchen.

These units which are equipped with high speed stitching machines and an intensive labour force are capable of making all of the different product size and style requirements of each individual country.

The product range includes conventional bedding but also caters to customers' requirements of frilled and other more sophisticated bed wear product stylings. The units have facilities for producing bourdon confection, scalloped and pearl hems, ready made curtain pairs. The ready made curtain factory is mechanized and the whole job starting from cutting to packed carton is done on one line. This factory is also producing tie backs.

In future, even the small floors will be made more independent and more specialized by installing mechanized cutting tables in each section.
